Right. I already have an FFL03 for buying older c&rs and will be getting a new COE shortly.

Sure the first year is a little expensive. But its dirt cheap after you've paid the livescan.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Someone in the market place was selling mini mags higher than I could buy on gun broker and free shipping. I have more ammo than I could ever shoot by the time I move out of this place this time next year.

I reload for my centerfire calibers so the only thing I need is .22lr. The best on-line price I can find is about 4.8 cents per round, shipped, for Aguila standard velocity that works just fine in my Savage. BassPro has Winchester Target Match for 6 cents before sales tax. Now maybe my appetite for rimfire ammo will increase significantly once I get the two semi-autos I have on order but as things stand now, paying a penny or two more per round for rimfire ammo isn't going make a difference in how much I shoot and it won't break the bank.

Centerfire ammunition is a lot more expensive, but the only stuff I shoot in large enough quantities for reloading to provide a meaningful cost advantage is .223 and I'm set up with enough cases, powder and primers for five or six years.

No doubt the new law is inconvenient, but I don't think it's gonna slow me down.

Many retail stores will be selling ammo with a fingerprint at checkout for all of 2018- aftercthat we don’t know. There is no shortage of ammo, and you will be able to get most calibers very easily.

My local retailers already price ammo a lot more than on-line stores, walmart excluded.

I'm at my practical limit and no matter how much I stock eventually I'll run out.

Heard some advice from a LEO on buying out of state after the new year. Take the ammo out of the boxes and throw the boxes away. No more lot or production numbers to get in trouble with the CA border guards...

What if you find loose rounds on the ground at the range?

                      Should we call the police?

Innocence is still 'presumed'. I'll buy bulk in Yuma, take it out of the packaging and toss them into old dirty ammo cans. Sprinkle a little AZ dust in there and that's my "California bought ammo I'm bringing back".

Let the Jerry Brown Ag inspectors prove otherwise. This law will be ignored like cell phone laws.

Apparently your LEO hasn't read the law

Taking it out of the boxes doesn't change the limit you can legally cross back into Kali with

only issue is that the new law specifically states you can only bring back into CA 50 rounds of any ammo even if it was your own ammo that you took out of state for a competition or hunting.
