    Actually, it isn't an AOW per the feds because it fires when converted into a "handgun shape" before you can fire it.

    Now, is it illegal in CA? What is the definition of "pen gun"? I dunno. It'd probably be caught under "any firearm which is not immediately recognizable as a
    firearm".

    Even if it was a pen gun AOW, the AOW exemption in CA has a pen gun exemption to the AOW exemption. So, no AOW pen guns in CA. Now, an AOW flashlight gun may be a different story
