I don't live in California but I visit a lot, often for extended periods, and usually try to get some range time in when visiting. I started a California stash last year because as a non-resident, it seems that it will be impossible for me to buy it at all in California next year, which would leave me high and dry. Stupid communist BS.Comment

I somehow find this not surprising. Since the 2018 ban will be on on-line ammo, perhaps most frenzy buying is online. Miwall can still sell at guns shows next year.Comment

I tried to read the mind-numbing text of Prop 63 and couldn't make a clear determination on whether the restrictions coming down the pipeline only apply to residents, or anyone within California. Some places say "California resident" and in other places it says, "persons within California". It's almost as if the law is vague on purpose to allow LE and the courts to interpret it however they want down the road. But yeah, if it turns out that this all applies only to residents, I'll buy it on my way down from Alaska, after I get through Canada. But I have a feeling it's not going to be so cut and dried as that. In the mean time, I have a stash stored away in CA just in case. At least the Jan 2018 portion is all on dealers, and not buyers. But I suspect that will drive prices up within the State a bit. The regs coming later are going to muddle the issue and, I suspect, most dealers won't have clarity on it and may just refuse to sell to out-of-State residents just to avoid any possible hassles.Comment

The last few shows I went to, people were lined up early and went straight for the ammo vendors. You can give peace a chance...

Miwall and others can sell at gun shows next year but expect a substantial price hike and long lines filled with the folks who havent been stocking up"If you have them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow"Comment

Out of curiosity, what is the pricing like at gun shows lately? Haven't been to one since the panic and then only to look. Are the ammo prices even close to competitive with online retailers like SG Ammo and Target Sports?
