If you don't have a CCW permit, tbh don't bother OP. If you have enough time to unlock and load that gun, then either your life wasn't really in that great of a danger, or you could have used that time to run the heck away.

Not to mention - how do you explain to the authorities how you have a gun with you? I wish getting a CCW was as easy as buying a gun!

Consider that if you had to use the firearm in a kit of some sort. You would be arrested. A court would then decide the legality of your set up...

And in court now you have to prove that you unlocked and loaded the gun at the scene of the crime and weren't carrying illegaly. Potentially their word against yours.

Many threads on the subject and no tangents. If you think locked zippers on a backpack will pass for a 'locked and secure container' in front of a CA jury, when it only takes a ballpoint pen to open it - then go for it. Let us know how it pans out.

when i lived in CA i used one of these to transport my firearm with me, a 3-digit combo gun case



give me a slotted screwdriver and i could open it in about 3 seconds..."locked and secured" is arguable, CA doesn't even go so far as to have an "approved" case for transport...anything short of a gun safe could come under scrutiny, truth be known

Mine is 7 years old and looks new (a bit dusty, but new) and all the stuff atill works like it did the day I bought it.

I have that same bag. Got it with a gun I purchased here off a guy. Its made well, thick materials.

How do you like the Trijicon SRS. Only reviews I can find are old reviews from back when they had some issues with glare. Nothing current.
