For Calgunners Stocking Up on Ammo - Ammo Can Storage Tips

curious as to how the rounds are placed in the can. are they just thrown in all willynilly or are the stacked neatly in the cans (like they way they are originally packaged) to get to, for instance, 1200 rds of 5.56 in a 50 cal. can?

we put ours in sandwich bags... 100 each baggie. that way we just grab a baggie of whatever caliber(s) we want when going to the range... also helps with keeping inventory...

I have 500rds of handloads loose in a .30 cal can and I'd guess there was about 2 inches of room left on top
