    Guns Used in LV

I didn't see this yet, but who knows with the number of threads going on this topic. The images are purportedly of two of the guns the shooter had.

Are those bump fire / slide fire stocks?
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

Top picture doesn't look like it, the bottom picture does.

If you watch the video of the hotel room all taped up the same scoped gun is in plain view, you think it would be tagged into evidence not set by a police taped door. Looks pretty staged

I guarantee you that entire wing of the floor is secure access only right now. Nobody is getting into that room who isn't supposed to be there.

I could tell from the various videos that the cadence of the rapid fire did not sound perfectly metered. It sped up and then stopped (jam) and sometimes was slower then faster, vice versa, etc. That led me to believe immediately that there was no real full auto happening.

We know the guy was rich, so it was still a possibility that he had in fact used full auto. But that seemed out of place, especially considering that he had multiple full auto as reported.

The other alternative was modification, meaning machining and acquiring the special FCG parts, which also seemed out of place for a 64 year old accountant.

So everything is pointing in one direction, he used bump fire stuff. I have always wondered about these mechanisms, especially considering that they have so many functional problems and largely are pretty unreliable. It seems like the push will be to mandate that these things become illegal or a heightened background check be performed (or other special license) be required.

Trump is probably talking with the NRA about it now. I don't know how I feel about those bump fire things honestly, they really are a bizarre and have been outlawed in many states. I used one when I was staying with friends in Georgia and it was fun but rather pointless, and it jammed and malfunctioned all the time.

I do not need a bumpfire stock to bumpfire.

Don't know if they are slide/bump fire but they are semi auto. Look at the selector switch.

It's a slide fire. Also, slide fire's website is a little slow right now.......

My eyes are not getting any better and I have no skills in digital picture enhancing so I'll take you at your word. This is why I posted these, hoepfully everyone else has better eyes than I do.

So he allegedly had umpteen guns and we get a shot of two of them.

Both of which fit an "assault weapon" profile.

My tendency is to wonder what untold story the other dozen or more might have to tell if we could see them?

Also it would be interesting to know if these are traceable back to him via serial number, just to know if he owned them for years or if maybe he got them out of the trunk of someone's car the week before the shooting.

Excellent points made that the left and anti-gunners won't even consider!

The guy was a nut with money to burn. Certainly he had some exotic weaponry...

So now he had a total of 42 guns. 23 at the hotel and 19 at his house. What does it matter how many he had at his house? Do they ever talk about how many any other criminal had at their house? No! Just the ones used I the crime or crime spree! I used to watch the news, daily as a matter of fact. I absolutely hate the pieces of **** media now!

If you put auto sear in it doesn't point straight up to semi position. Don't tell me I'm clueless. I wasn't looking for the words full auto dip****. Know your **** before you come at me lefty.
