    -Because they don't work either.

Get the Kimber. It's made in Yonkers, New York.

The Springfield is probably better made, but is weighed down by the stigma of betrayal.

If you want one, get one PPT so that your money goes into the pocket of a fellow 2A-supporting Californian and not Springfield.

My 2nd hand Springfield and brand new PM7 have been flawless. My Kimber, not so much.

Colt, all others are merely copies.

Why those 2? Adjustable sights with stainless finish? or were you looking at the 9mm model? If it has to be one of those 2, the Springfield is the better gun.

If you are looking less specifically, a SIG 1911 might be a better gun for a comparable price. If you have the additional $600 budget, the Dan Wesson would be the best value.

I want a LW Commander XSE. Also like the Ruger model as well. Are the Ruger's on the California list?

That sucks. For me it would be a tough choice between the Kimber and the Springer. Both have the pros and cons. Pros: Springer- no swartz safety. Kimber- all are made in America. Cons: Springer- bs they pulled in IL, not all of them are made in Merica. Kimber- swartz FP safety, some QC issues here n there (but don't they all).
