But not a great choice for naked pocket carry. Trigger is *too* good
And you can get an anti walk takedown pin for the LCP from Tandem Kross.

I have alsways used a pocket holster when pocket carrying.
The DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster is excellent for this.sigpic

And that is, IMO, where the advantage goes to the LCP with its double action trigger. No risk of the dreaded striker fire ND.The satisfaction of a job well done is to be the one who has done it

I tried to resolve the take-down walking out issue on my LCP with this part. Failed. The updated Ruger part worked. But not a great choice for naked pocket carry. Trigger is *too* good

Thanks for the tip! I will call Ruger and ask for the part, is it just an updated takedown pin?
Plenty of people have shot themselves with a Glock from the holster. I have yet to hear of anyone shooting themselves with a LCP or a Chiefs Special from a coat pocket. I'm not saying it hasn't happened. But we're also not talking about carrying in the pocket of your skinny jeans, more like carrying in your coat pocket while walking down an alley in Harlem. I am saying many, many people have, do, and always will carry DAO hammer guns in a winter coat pocket or a purse unholstered, and they somehow get by without shooting anyone accidentally.
The LCP II is a nice gun. I have had plenty of chances to acquire one, but never saw the need and if I had to choose again right now I would still choose the LCP no-dash for the role that size of gun serves. I have LC9S Pro so I am very familiar with the trigger on LCP II, and to me it just doesn't make sense for that gun, but I know that is a personal and subjective opinion. YMMV etc.
Plus the LCP II is taller, wider, and longer than LCP. It is a totally different gun before you even start talking about the trigger.Last edited by SkyHawk; 09-18-2017, 1:52 AM.Comment

If you can find one get the dao LC 9 with the hammer and safety. They were the first ones . Ruger changed them to striker fired and called them LC9s. Great little gun and if you don't like the trigger go to Galloway website.. They make a new trigger and bar that reduces the long travel by half. I think Ruger even released a limited model with their trigger. I'm old and like pistols with hammers and safeties. ( That little lever in the middle of the trigger isn't really a safety IMO. Anything pushes the middle of the trigger it still goes off.)Comment
