OP, when you have sold your item, but have not yet received the funds, please edit your first post by clicking on the "edit" button, then the "go advanced" button. Once you have done the latter, you can edit the title by typing: SPF (Sold Pending Funds). Once you receive the funds, repeat, delete the SPF and replace with SOLD.

This allows members to see that you have sold your item (s) while perusing the titles of the numerous threads without having to open it.

Also, if someone asks you a material question about your item (i.e. round count, is the barrel chrome lined, etc.), click on the same edit button in your first post and add it there. This can be done as many times as needed since this doesn't bump your thread. The next time you are allowed to bump your thread, write, "Bump, questions answered in OP (that stands for Original Post and refers to your first one).

You may also decide to post your answer within the thread and that can be done on the same calendar day that you bumped your thread.

It is ok, per the rules, for members reading the thread to post a comment praising the item. The only stipulation is that it is limited to only a few of these type of posts. A staff member will determine what a "few" is. Personally, I have no problem with two posts extolling the virtue of a particular firearm, scope or other accessory as long as it's appropriate (i.e. saying, "Wow, that is really beautiful 9mm ammo you have for sale," is silly and I'd delete it.

Even tho you have asked only about the "bump" feature, please read all of the rules found in the sticky near the top of every Marketplace forum. Following those will result in your thread running smoothly and it not being reported to the staff for violating the MP rules. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any staff member. For a quicker response, scroll to the bottom of the page on Calguns that lists all of the forums. There, you will see a list of all members, including staff, who are logged on at that time. Staff user names are in bold. Send one or more of them a pm with your question. You should receive a quicker reply than if selecting a staff member who isn't logged on. Here is a link to the rules for a quick look:

Good luck on the sale of any item you are trying to sell or trade!

Bump. Get it now? How about ttt or to the top, I have even seen top or top of page.

Keeps your for sale thread relevant otherwise it will fall to the bottom and no one will see it.

Read post #14. If you edit your original post it stays on the top. If you keep adding bump or ttt the original post eventually falls off the page. If your an intelligent seller, you already know it's best to keep things as simple as possible for the buyer.

If you bump by an edit on the original post, it' doubtful the ad will go past half a page.
