Bump explanation

I would like to post a couple of things for sale.

Before I do I would like an explanation of what these bump posts mean and how does it relate to sales posts?

Trying to avoid any rookie errors.

Simply put you are allowed as a seller to bump your post to the top once in a 24 hour period. So each day you type the word bump or whatever to bump your add to the top of the list.

When you see a post that says "bump" or something similar, it means that someone has added a zero-content post just to get the thread to the top of the list again.

5) Back to the Top (BTT) is allowed once per calendar day per PST/PDT.
'Calendar Day' refers to the 24 hour period described as 'MM/DD/YYYY' in the Pacific time zone.
This rule also encompasses all the other methods used to surreptitiously "bump" a thread sooner than allowed. Clever 'sales comments' and addendum's that can easily be added to the original post are just some examples. New posts that add content such as pictures or additional information will be considered as a "BTT". The time of last BTT is based on the last post by the original poster. Answers to posted material questions regarding the item may be posted in the thread prior to the next calendar day. Deleting your own BTT post and re-bumping your thread within the same calendar day may result in your thread being locked or deleted.

It's far easier on the seller to edit the original post when he wants to bump it. It's always at the top of the thread, and that saves buyers wading through sometimes multiple pages of bump-o-rama.

Most boards consider an "I'll take it" pm or email as a done deal, pending payment.

Seller needs to advise on comms...email or pm. Email normally easier.

ANY questions or comments related to the sale should flow by pm or email, NOT on the FS thread.

NFG if you're not selling or buying and just feel like adding "nice gun" to someones ad...if you're that excited about the weapon, post an I'll-take-it message...otherwise, pm the seller about what a sweet gun it is, but you're not interested in buying it. It's always great to give the seller more crap to wade through.

Since you are new also please put your for sale items in the for sale sections and NOT in discussion sections.
