Night Vision Shoot: Pre-Planning

I think half the fun would be "feeling" eachother out in the dark.

I would totally be interested depending on the day and location, but I currently don't have my NVG set up. Is this open to those who are still researching and saving? I think I could contribute in other ways.

Just thinking out loud here.... ...with safety in mind, we might have to require gen 2 or better NV, along with some sort of weapon mounted illuminator, on-body IR strobe or IR chem light, and possibly body armor as well. As well as a sufficient trauma kit and and have a pre-planned route to the nearest medical services and/or coordinates/nearest cross streets for EMS and a pre-planned meet up point in the event that it happens with designated persons who will make the call, transport, etc. Along with at least one vehicle on scene sufficient and ready to transport. Though I don't expect many persons to actually show for something like this due to the drive time and the prohibitive cost of night vision gear, we should limit the number of persons in attendance for safety.

You misunderstood and no. That being said when you have equipment that costs more than a lot of people's annual income some caution is warranted

If you have any interest whatsoever, or intend on showing, please list your previous experience under professional instruction as well as a sample of the gear that you possess. It seems alot of naysayers are jumping in this thread out of ignorance of the gear or pure jealousy probably due to being excluded based on the nature of the required gear, so from here on out i need to know a bit of your background and gear selection so we are all on the same page. Feel free to DM me the info if you dont want it public.

Sounds like a great time and I'd love to try it out. However, I do not have the equipment or experience with NVG and haven't yet planned on acquiring anything in the near future.

I'd love to see some pictures/videos of how the shoot went though afterwards.

Im down. One ir strobe per person and ir glowstick front and back of body. To the first timers highly recommend slings for rifles. If theres course of fire and movijg then absolutely no moving with a handgun. Must be holstered.
Honestly for safety purposes prob better to just have a clear line to shoot behind from.
