I have to say no matter how young you are or good your eyes are it is not possible to focus on both front and rear sight or front and target simontaniously . The problem with magnifier lenses is not target shooting it's hunting and or self defense where you have to transition from Target to front sight and back quickly that's why magnifier in top inside corner of regular non magnifier or prescription glasses is the best solution .

Got these Elvex safety glasses, with +1.5 diopter (RX-500C-1.5).....seems to be just what I needed
My work/reading glasses are +2.25, to +2.50 for close-in work. But they are too strong to see the target at distance. By going +1.5, I can see the front sight well and the target is much better, too (not necessarily at the same time).
They fit fine and give me more coverage than the cheap +1.5 reading glasses I was using.Join Active Junky for online rebates....$10 to both you and me!
