Guns are tools like wrenches...I have a bunch of wrenches that are the same size, but they each work in a different situation. Sure, I can use a crescent wrench, but I prefer to have a purpose designed tool whenever I can.

I own more than one gun so when one gets really really hot from lots of shooting, I can shoot the other one :P

1 is none and 2 is one...
        What Is A Veteran?

A "Veteran" -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including his or her life."

The people on this board sure do have a lot of boating accidents. Maybe we should ban boats.

Try explaining 15 watches. It's a similar sickness....just gotta have that next one. I'm only up to 7 guns so far....I'm way behind. Try using the explanation I use...."They make me happy".

Exactly the reason I'm not getting another one. I have my .38 snub which is a challenge at more than a few yards. I like challenges and need something dumb simple for prolonged outdoor outings that can take a beating.
A Glock in either nine or .45 is still tempting.
Before last fall I had none but ended up with five! My Dad just gave me a couple of old rifles - a Winchester 69a .22 and a Western Field .410 which I wish I knew how to find an internal mag for.

I need one for each discipline of shooting, and back up guns for it. And several more for parts.

For some reason, I read that as "wenches." Was actually funnier that way.

Anyways, as mentioned, to allow "need" to be introduced into the conversation is to lose even before the battle has begun. There IS no "need" prerequisite on anything we have the RIGHT to buy.
