Glock is the king of budget. Don't they make a Glock 45 for a few hundred dollars? Glock for me have always been the Fedco or Costco of gun brands. Nothing wrong with that at all. If you're on a budget go Glock! Lol

Let me see what Maine sells them for. I bet $300 and some change. Glocks have always been in the bargain cases at Maine military.

A sig XO is about nine bills and is an excellent 45. Usual SIG quality and some niceties such as checkering on the front strap.

Mil Spec is good, but IMO best bang for buck is the Springfield Loaded. A little bit more, but you get a lot for the money. Check it out if you can swing the extra money.

+1 for the Springfield Loaded. Or a Kimber Classic II.

I have been pleased with the Rock Island Armoury, as have the friends of mine who have one. But they are not US or German made. They've bought the basic model and all have upgraded mostly adjustable sights - the triggers are good out of the box( since the basic package works so well.
