One is made by Vulcan, the other by Bobcat (Speshul Weppins). Please check the quality and integrity of both these "gun makers" before you drop large cash into a 9mm pistol. A brief Google search should do it.
If you need an hk wannabee to appear more tactical (not necessarily saying that's bad, though), i'd say go for it. If I had the urge for an hk lookalike, i'd consider something chambered for a rifle cartridge from Vector, perhaps, as a start.
You'll get more velocity with a longer barrel with something like a camp 9, pc9, or hi-point carbine.
I wouldn't waste my money on either one.

According to a recent article in Small Arms Review, Bobcat is not a new name for Special Weapons. The owner of Bobcat was interviewed in the article, and he says that he knows Todd Bailey (Special Weapons) personally and buys parts from him - but they're two different companies.

I'd never buy an mp5 unless it was F/A... don't see any use for an civilian semi mp5. I just got Bobcat and I am really happy with quality and performance.

The bobcat is good to go. Todd doesnt own bobcat but they do supply to parts (or used to) and the welder for boobcat welds thrm up.
HK54.com has to whole deal on it.
If you have the $$ and want a hk94 in 9mm subgun then go with a Bobcat.sigpic

No I mean, I don't know many dealers that would FFL this just because... and plus you'd have to get the fixed stock and cut off the pistol grip. Be kinda a waste no?
