"assault weapons" ie, semi-auto/full-auto rifles are already ALMOST banned, nation-wide.

IIRC if you got $30K to burn and live in Montana you can legally get a full auto gun.

Lots of people who otherwise think they are 'pro gun' would say machine guns should be illegal.
