I'm all for having fun in the right place. I go to the snow to have fun in the snow.
Selfies are not fun. They are a product of megalomania.

Ok anyways.... Panic slightly less everyone, I heard they might just be relocating.

I haven't been there recently but I hope they make it. I stopped in there on the day I retired for my wife could pick out a .22 rifle, so she could join me at the range. She picked out a nice Ruger 10-22 Sporter because she liked the walnut stock.

Hmmm... wonder where? I was going to ASC for years until SDFT opened up signifanctly closer. Always liked ASC. I kept a membership so the wait was never an issue and I liked the relaxd atmosphere. The hawt Asian girls were a plus as well.

I figured something must be up. I went int there on a Friday a couple months ago and it was dead. Barely any guns on the shelf and hardly any inventory. I remember back in the day going there on a weekend was at least a 2 hour wait and the lobby would be standing room only

          Guess maybe too much competition.

Posted this in another thread about them.

They are moving most likely to East county but no details yet. I stopped In Today after reading of their closing. The person behind the counter said they are supposed to close the current location at the end of the month but doubted they would actually do it that soon since they don't know where they're going yet.

We will be meeting there tomorrow so I see if anyone there can confirm this.
Okay - confirmed. They were hanging the banner in the picture this morning when I arrived.

Current lease ends this month and will not be renewed. They are looking to relocate to either La Mesa or El Cajon according to one of the guys working the counter this morning.

Just got done shooting at American Shooting Center. Last day to shoot will be the 24th of this month and they will remain open for gun pick ups till the end of the month. They said they are moving to El Cajon but still not sure on the location.

Hopefully not forming an alliance with El Cajon Gun Exchange. That would suck!

Not everyone liked them but I never had any problems with them and wish them the best. It was one of the only ranges that let you rent guns by yourself (If you bought a membership).

I've always liked the majority of the staff there... they were helpful, fun to talk to, and seemed to keep a clean and safe range. I was sad to see that they're moving.

What really chaps my hide is the lack of information give to the staff and to members. I had just bought an annual membership in mid July and then was told they were moving, possibly to east county, but nobody knows where.

Not shooting the messengers here--the staff knew it was bad news--but that is really poor business on the owner's part.

If they don't find a location, am I out my couple hundred bucks? If they do find a spot, but it's out-of-the-way for me, am I still out the cash?

Looks like the ASC owner defaulted on lease payments and was evicted. He has another propert he’s also defaulted on.
