Having trouble dropping the humidity inside my safe.

    The problem of rusting comes mostly from condensation. That happens when going from cold to hot. If you are keeping a steady temperature, that is about as good as it gets (that means no outside or garage storage). The other common misconception is that a small desiccant bag is going to pull moisture out of the air. Yes they can but only in small air volumes. If your safe is not sealed to the atmosphere, your little bag is not going to dry out the entire earth's atmosphere. Over the long term the desiccant is going to be the same dryness as the surrounding air.

      The Snap On guy used to have some awesome small ones you dried out in the oven
      every so often. Those worked great in toolbox sized containers. The damp rid buckets work for me, you can see them fill up and you chuck and replace. Plus I'm at Home Depot 4 days a week anyway.
