Years ago I worked with a guy that while he was working on his property and building his House and Garage, went through several .22 Hornet Barrels. and decimated the local ground squirrel population in the process. If you live in an area that you can shoot whenever you want and at what ever you want with what ever you want you can easily burn up a Barrel, or Barrels. But the average shooter.....I doubt it.

      I retired in 2014. I shot out 3 barrels.
      1 ar 15
      1 lr308
      1 223 bolt action

      Thats shooting 3 to 4 times a month for 2 1/2 years.
Now i only shoot twice a month.

When you see your bullet groups get really big or it starts shooting keyholes ITS DONE.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
      I'm Back.

I am at 12000 rounds on a fulton armory chrome lined match barrel.I have replaced the bolt due to leaking primers on reloads. At least 2500 rounds have been steel cased but not bimetal projectiles.Monday I shot 30 rounds of 55 grain hornady polymer tips into an inch and a half at a hundred yards.I have a new dd barrel I am dying to replace it with but i cant justify it with that performance.Gas port has grown though,This is a trusty raw.
