Dan Wesson gets it. Less is more and one of the reasons I like my Valor. Manufacturers should realize they would sell more with naked slides and no FCS. BB roll marks are one of the reasons I got turned off by SA 1911's with large roll marks like "Tactical". Is it so the purchaser feels it's an official "tactical operators" gun? I guess I don't mind it on a CZ, but not a 1911.

Les Baer did it with their heavyweight Monolith unless this was a custom factory build.

I dont know. I can appreciate the clean and the tacticool. I think having options is what will put more guns into people's hands. Plus different people use guns differently.

As for logos, I am guilty of going nuts myself too. I worked up a logo and decided to use it. I mean use it on a slide. I think I did it twice.

Yup, I agree with you 100%. Dan Wesson gets it and more should follow with the "less is more" mantra

Even though Baer has minimal roll marks, 45 ACP on the left and Baer Custom on the right, I wanted it completely roll mark free and that's how I ordered it.

I would love a TRP full rail, but can't get past their "billboard" roll marks.

The rollmark that say RTFM (essentially) drive me mad. Ruger, Beretta are both guilty.

I guess that would be like a Wilson Combat Supergrade, which is a large billboard sign for an expensive gun. I have to admit this gun I don't mind the billboard for some reason. At least it doesn't have any FCS. I guess it would be like owning a non logo'd Rolex watch or Ferrari without it's logo.

Is it me or does the barrel bushing look as if it's twisted in the wrong direction as compared to the angle of the slide and frame? Shouldn't the bottom of the barrel bushing be more to the left?
