I agree with most of the comments.....it has stopped me from buying something that otherwise I would have enjoyed. Cleaner the look the better but as they say to each their own.

I can only think of one company that toned it down a bit.

Rock Island Armory used to have a billboard ad the size of the entire slide on some of their 1911s.

I believe the newer models have a much smaller logo.
