Hahaha sadly you are absolutely correct with your statement....and agreed it's best to keep your mouth shut or be ridiculed by our own who probably are no better in most cases....just lucky to not be a victim.

OP-This sucks. Yes, this hits close to home. I hear of more and more crime happening in WC. Seems to be the preferred target of scum.

Hope you get them back and the scum meet justice and go away for a long time.

+1 on the 'Your attack, guard dog wasn't big or mean enough, your turret-mounted laser guided 50 cal wasn't up to Operator standards, your AR500 steel encase home had a weak point...'

In all seriousness, hope you get them back as I'm sure they're worth a pretty penny.

        Be safe all.

I like where your head is at.

I saw a comment on FB that leads me to believe they were stolen from the locked trunk of the OP's car. Now I am sure some numbnut is going to just have to spew forth it is the OPs fault for leaving $8000-ish in guns locked in his trunk, because if they were in his safe/bunker/bedside quick access cabinet the thief- who was able to gain access to the trunk of the car- would have been stymied. The OP has a reasonable expectation of being able to lock things in his trunk and come back to them still being there. Its not his fault, and none of the usual hindsight armchair joystick opersniiperator comments apply or are needed.

There are bad people in this world and unfortunately the OP has been contacted by one. I sincerely hope he recovers his very valuable (and amazingly cool) property and the jackwagon(s) who committed this extremely uncool act be punished. Yeah, I know, its commifornia, where the thief may well end up with a medal for getting another gun out of the hands of a competent and law abiding gun owner, but hopefully there is some justice out there.

              Good luck OP.

If it was stolen by gangbanger, it's probally on the street being used as a weapon.

It it was stolen by a gun guy, it's probally inbound to a state where no FFL is needed to buy, so he can sell it.

Gun guy could keep it for himself, but it's very risky to have a "hot gun" when he's running around and stealing stuff.

Sorry to hear that, I will keep an eye out, as D said should be REALLY easy to spot those. I think we can keep it respectful if OP says how they were stolen.

my.02 a gun safe that requires 2 people and a truck to remove is an outstanding security barrier. Add a reinforced steel door to the closet guarding said safe with a good deadbolt and the thieves are going to work awfully hard to get to your toys.

Dang that is too close to home. When I moved here 25 years ago we never even locked the front door. Back slider was open almost every day.
Now? We always lock all the doors and windows. My how times have changed.

That is all true. I do believe in what you said. $8000 guns in $1k safe?

Leaving guns in a car while you grab a must have unicorn frappacino?

                      No stickers on cars, never.

With that said. I still want to know what exactly happened so I can learn from his mistakes.

It doesn't sound like he made mistakes to me. It sounds like a criminal did what criminals do. OP shouldn't have to spend 8k on a safe for 8k in guns. It doesn't make him at fault for not doing so.

Idk the story, so I can't say if he was human and had a lapse of cautiousness or he was being irresponsible.

                            ++10,000. So true this above.
I experienced the exact same treatment when our gunshop was burglarized.
Yes, provide no details. Otherwise be prepared to have it suggested you either did it, or were some other way responsible for the actions of some scum bag thief.

I don't know if the OP had any NRA or other gun-promoting stickers on his car, but I have heard that gang-bangers will target such cars assuming that there may be a gun in the glove compartment or trunk.

WTActual FAWK? Why not pull that bus over to the side of the pretentiousness turnpike and take a dose of reality, shall we?

Guns locked inside the trunk of a car, regardless of stickers, the hat he wears or parked outside a gun store and followed home is NOT irresponsible NOR is it a "lapse of cautiousness". Now I personally do not have big ole stickers that say "3 Gun Nation" or "NRA" etc. on my car, but I do not consider it a bad thing if someone else does. I certainly do not take it as an indicator of inviting theft or thier property, or as a "lapse" of anything.

I am going to say that a few years ago (ok, it was like 20 years ago, but still..) I had a pistol, my PSE Bow, and a pair of rifles along with some other stuff stolen out of my small SUV. There was nothing to indicate the presence of any of the above in the truck, other than the obvious fact it was a truck in Tennessee. The cops who took the report and the detective that investigated told me it was about the 10th auto break-in in my area for the month and they felt sure it was probably just kids or druggies looking to score a stereo or whatever to pawn and they got lucky. They also took every tool in the truck.
