IIRC, it takes about 300-400 degrees to cook ammo off. If it's that hot in your while you're in it, you'll be too dead to care about the ammo cooking off.

You could buy a metric **** load of standard cap mags and break them down before bringing them back to CA, then sell them as rebuild kits.

If you do, try to find the kits that people in CA are having a hard time getting, due to the usual sellers not carrying them. I know when I was looking for G3 20 rd. alloy kits a few months ago, I had a very hard time finding them. That is just an example though, don't need em anymore.

Maybe make a post in the for sale section, 'hey, taking orders for mag rebuild kits.' Or something like that.

Wow, good for you, you can cite the penal code. What you failed to do is APPLY it. Importing PARTS is not illegal. You can import as many parts as you want into the state.

And by the way, notwithstanding your sensationalist FUD, even if you do import magazines illegally, it can potentially be a misdemeanor or a felony. However, as I said above, you aren't importing large capacity magazines if you are only bringing in parts.
