Never liked the term modern sporting rifle. If I'm going to shoot my AR I'm shooting my AR, not MSR.

It irritates me when people use the terms 'assault weapon' and 'assault rifle' interchangeably.

They have different definitions and don't mean the same thing. It is one thing when the media and politicians do it, because they are pathologically ignorant.

Anyone who owns firearms should know the difference.

"Modern Sporting Rifle" is no dumber that Assault Rifle. Actually, Id rather say assault rifle than modern sporting rifle. That's is just a stupid term the gun industry used to make our rifles sounds less scary to politicians who want to ban them, no matter what they're called. Fact is, an AK, AR, whatever is designed/was designed to kill bad guys. Just like a handgun. If they weren't, we would all own Mini-14s.

I call them evil assault rifles. Doesn't bother me a bit. I might bother some anti's but that's the idea.

Yup, I can stand stupid marketing speak, even if it's coming from my side.

It's an AR or an AK or whatever model rifle it is. The people who hate them don't care what you call it.
