Only thing I've ever had a range officer check was my ammo. Everything else seems to not be their concern (other than safety issues) and that's fine with me.

Thanks for the feedback. This reinforces some of the reasons I will not be registering. Featureless isn't that bad. Actually it does suck but oh well.Comment

Some ranges are on BLM or FS leases. Leases, especially from govt agencies, contain prohibitions. A range lease from FS could contain a "no AW" clause.
I have had range staff politely check for a BB, though it was years ago. I had none, it was a RAW, which left them a tad flummoxed. They did not demand to see my registration, and did not want to see it, though I offered it; they finally agreed to look at it and that satisfied them. Staff at that range has always been 100%.Last edited by God Bless America; 05-27-2017, 8:37 AM.Comment

This stuff is just one of the many reasons that I love my range.
Even members who are LEO's are told in no uncertain terms, "to leave their badges at the gate."Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

OP, my LGR has a sign that says all guns brought to the range must be in a legal configuration and it is up to the owner to know the laws and the gun owners are responsible for ensuring their guns are CA legal. The range owner nor RSOs will not make that determination.
LEOs do use the range and every one that I have shot with just do not care. They are off duty and just want to shoot like everyone else.Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.
A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.
Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

It's really up to you know the law. As long as you are following the laws, I'm really not sure how you could be held accountable. But again educate yourself and be aware of the lawssigpic

My range says they are in the safety business, not the law enforcement business.
Frankly, it worries me that you expect the range to enforce gun laws. Isn't that the police officers job, not the range officers?Comment
