    assault weapons registration

Will the DOJ be disappointed in the amount of people that actually register their weapons?

I would imagine they will be shocked at the compliance rate.

Bullet button rifles that get registered become bullet buttoned forever. What kind of response was that?

I believe what RR44 means is that he registered his pre-2000 when even featured rifles did not have Bb's.

Both extremes (large numbers and minimal numbers of registrations) could potentially be problematic for the anti-2A crowd in Sacramento.

One would clearly show how common these firearms are, the other would show how little faith the citizens have int he constitutionality of the law.

OTOH, one would gain compliance and slowly raise the heat on the frogs in the pot, while the other would allow for easy arrests of a lot of their political foes.

I can imagine the year after registration, you get a registration bill like with a vehicle. $200 each year, per weapon.

I plan to register 3 AW and keep 3 featureless. So I'm complying.

1 AR post-2014 reg here, will get registered. Every gun pre-2014, will not.

At this point I stop caring. They already know what you got by the back ground check if you did one. Now they want there own registry to know what we got. Ok, now they know and then what? "oh those are outlawed. Get rid of them". Ok, not going to happen. They send police over and after a time something will happen that will change this place in a violent way. We are waiting on the first one to draw. They are pushing the buttons on us. Reg, Comply, featureless, Bolt action, whatever they will try to outlaw it until something breaks and bullet flies by.

I'm sorry to think this and am very sad to even say this but I feel like we are to far gone to turn things around. The ONLY saving grace is the courts. If SCOTUS makes the right call I actually think they could stave off a war. If they try to go UK or AUS on us it only times one Ares Armor guy to start the fire.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!
