    Fresno Gun Show

Anyone in the valley going to the gun show this coming weekend? Is it worth going to? I have never been and was wondering what I might get out of it. What to look for at a show?

I've been to them several times.

I wouldn't buy any surplus or antique guns there. The charge way too much for what they have, IMHO. But I've been spoiled by the CMP.

That one dude that sells nothing but ammo cans and foot lockers is worth it though. You can get two .50 ammo cans for $11 or something like that.

They also have the AR15 guys too. Last time I went they had 2-3 stalls with AR uppers and whatnot.

    Lots of knives.

Bottom line: If you have nothing better to do, and feel like spending $8 to look around why not. But you probably won't find anything there you already wouldn't know how to find online.

If you're in the military, you wear your uniform and get in for free. They stamp your hand so if you go Sat, you don't have to pay for Sun.

If you want to make sure you see everything, go Saturday morning. That's when everyone is there. If you go Sunday afternoon about half of the sellers and stuff that were there are already gone. Sat afternoon and Sun morning is decent but not as great as Sat morning.

I've been to it once. PRK Arms was the highlight of the show .

I will be there. Working though. The last show was not impressive, but the turnout was big.

I'll be hanging out at the PRK tables getting hoarse from explaining why the "bullet button" is, in fact, legal.

And I definitely plan on grabbing a grip of those .50 and .30 ammo cans.

I will try to make it with my cousin from Porterville on Sat. Are there gun deals to be had there? Current model that is not collectibles.

Also for Fresnans, the Walmart on W. Shaw had 3 boxex .45 auto UMC and some Blazer 9mm. The Walmart in Clovis on Shay has some Winchester .45 and 9mm. Still no .38sp or .380 to be found at either one. Just letting you know.

                Negative ghost rider.

Well then again, it all depends on what you think a deal is.

So what is the draw for me to go?

It is not particularly impressive yet I still find myself going every single time they have one.
                    Insert something clever here.

If the sheer fact of it being a gun show can't move you to partake in the festivities then, I can't help you. You just never know what you might find.

I go there for most of the shows. Pretty neutered but it's what we've got. I go just because. Miwal will have ammo, anything you will be looking for will be sold by noon on Sat.

                        I'll be there.
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Some idiots are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything
