Its disappointing to to hear that an event no different than a group of friends getting together for a good time could raise so much "drama" for a lack of a better word. I noticed some treated it as a business venture, and though some of the arguments made legal sense, I was still left shaking my head. Makes me wonder if I have to be discreet next time I ask my friends to contribute funds for a camping trip or any sort of group that requires funding. As far as I could tell, people were having real issue with being charged money regardless of how reasonable the price was or how accomadating to tried to be. I'm just the new guy on this board and my words probably don't carry the same weight as the elite here, but I just wanted to commend you on your patience and efforts. Best of luck and count me in for the next one.
Yes, Unfortunately, it did get that bad, I had to deal with emails containing racists statements in regards to my native american heritage, my service to my country in the Marines, How us "Kommiefornians use, abuse, and leave us nevada citizens there to clean up your *explative* mess" in regards to shooting ranges. You name it, the whole gambit has been thrown at me on this. I had one guy sending me threatening emails detailing where I live, what I look like, and how easy it is so settle a situation like this by taking a "prairie ni**er" out to the desert and "handling business". All in all, it just made me laugh. If he wanted to come walk up to my front door, and "handle his business" im sure he would. But as I said to him in my return email, take into consideration, Im a gun owner, and although I live in california, Im not afraid to exercise my right to self defense. Didnt get a response after that.
All in all, the folks at BLM was exremely helpful, they even went so far as to tell me how to apply for the special events permit, how much they charge, its very reasonable, only $4.00 per person expected to attend. Plus a myraid of details that we went into in the hour total time we talked. The way I see it, all the folks at AR-15.com did with all their whining, was help me straighten up a few details that was fuzzy. So the next time I do this, all my ducks are in a row and it doesnt matter what they say/whine/cry/femaledog/moan about. The biggest issue BLM had is when you charge people you dont know for something like this. If it was 10 guys and we split the cost of groceries, thats a totally different thing because we all "KNOW" each other. The point of contention came in where it was inviting people I didnt personally know and charging them for it.
Now we all know for the future!
Allow me to say welcome to the boards, we all are glad to have you! feel free to post anytime, and everyones opinion on here matters, not just those old timers, even you new guys!

I hardly post on AR15.com due to the extreme bad language and the moronic attitudes of a LOT of the members over there.........I wouldn't pay ANY attention to what people say over there........
