Got the g19. Now the wait begins. As I'm doing the paperwork, the sales guy told me glock is bringing back the od green glock next month and if I'm interested in paying for one. I was almost suckered into saying yes but I decided to stick to the plan hahaha. Plus I've heard horror stories of people putting down payments and not getting their firearm at said time.

I have a Springfield xd9, 40 and 45 and like them all. I also have a g20 and love it. I have a few other 9's but don't have a g19. Thinking about getting the g19 but in the slim frame. My g20 is a little thick but I don't have small hands. If the g19 will be available in OD green in California I may have to jump on it.

          You can also shoot 40 out of a g20. 2 for 1.

So here it is! Came home today. I gotta say it's much lighter than the Xd40/9 that I have. Barrel and slide length are about the same. The grip is about 1/2 inch shorter. Over all I'm happy with the fiber optic sight. At first I had a scare with the ejector looking like it was bent compared to my other handguns. But apparently it's normal for glock.

I handled the p2000 and the usp 45. Of all the handguns, the uspfelt the most beefy. My sister actually likes the usp so if she gets it, I'll just borrow it lol

100% opposite on the Glocks, I would never own one much less shoot or handle another one. Glocks are the froglube of polymers. Of course others think differently.

Ive owned lots of different handguns. As far as the best all round pistol, the 19 is very very hard to beat. Its small enough to conceal yet big enough to fight with.

Not saying you specifically, but ifs funny how often people bad mouth stuff like glock grip angle, the feel, etc, and they dont know what a proper grip even is.... And then you guide them, they use a proper grip, and bazinga: The glock feels good

I have tried the Glock lineup and really wanted one just because it's everyone's favorite gun. No matter how much I try when I go in to the gun shop and handle one I always walk away. It's all in the grip. Some people love it, I just hate it. There are so many new guns coming out that are better alternatives to the g19 with actual ergos and better triggers I would personally lean that way but it takes time and effort to decide. It wouldn't hurt to shoot the crap out of the g19 in the process. I'm waiting for CZ P10c and the FN 509. Those look like way better alternatives than a g19 especially after new trigger and sights and some grip work just to make the g19 decent to me.

At least you can always sell it if you hate it.

                        Good luck & enjoy.
