Need Friendly Petaluma FFL for PPT

Looking to do a PPT with a fellow Calgunner. Hoping to do it on Monday in Petaluma, 94954. Yes I have a list of potential shops, I want to know who is a friendly FFL who does PPT's and is open on Monday.
    Thanks

                Haven't tried Sportsman's yet. Others I know say it's a square place.

Can't speak to A.J. Robello on FFL, but as far as I am concerned he is the best plumber around. He and his son have done two remodels for us and both were top shelf. The trick is catching him in town... they go hunting, often.

It's not in Petaluma, but if you're willing to travel the extra 7 miles to Santa Rosa you could try Western Sportsshop on Santa Rosa Ave. http://www.westernsportshop.com/

They are open 7 days a week. I won't do business with them anymore myself, but that's for petty personal reasons that we won't get into. If you must do a trade on Monday, they could be an option.

Western won't PPT a handgun, IIRC. Long guns only. If you go to Western, ask if Ron is working, he's my neighbor and will take care of business for you with a minimum of fuss.

                        jben and BigDog-
How is this for a bunch of poo- (realizing of course every business can do what ever they want) "Sparky" at Western just informed me that they will not do PPT for Military Weapons! I told him it is for a 1990's M1 Carbine copy for pete's sake. No deal. Was told Ron is on a medical leave. Thanks for the help, looks like Monday is a no deal.

Bummer.... I'll ask and see what the deal was with that.

If you can wait until Tuesday there is always Petaluma Gun & Reloading unless you've had a hard time with them some point in the past.

One other option is Hadid Machine out in Tomales. Wael is nails and a really great guy. Totally OLL and military rifle friendly. I DROSed my Stag lower through him. He is home based and appointment only.

As an afterthought, have you tried Big 5? I know some of their locations will do PPT, don't know about Petaluma, and they sell M-1 carbines among other semis.

As an after thought... if you are willing to meet in Novato I know Marin Firearms is open on Mondays.

To my understanding, shops that sell long guns do not have a legal leg to stand on to refuse to PPT a long arm, and if they sell handguns they are likewise legally required to PPT handguns. They'll resist, sure, but dialing the DOJ in their store can often grease the necessary wheels.

What's the new shop in Petaluma like? Do they do OLLs?
