    Is Arizona Red?

It seems I read here that people are happy to move from California to Arizona due to California gun laws.

Except, looking at this last election (http://brilliantmaps.com/2016-county-election-map/) it seems Arizona is turning blue with democratic voting.

Seems Navada or Utah might be better.

Exit plan to Idaho within 2 years. I don't think I have to worry about it EVER turning blue there 😉

Almost three quarters of Nevada's population is in Clark County, which as far as I can tell is almost indistinguishable demographically from the San Gabriel Valley. A universal background check law was passed by the legislature a few years ago (vetoed by the governor); and another was passed by referendum last year (rendered null and void by the attorney general).

If you are looking to move to another state exclusively to avoid California's gun laws, then Nevada is a poor choice. It will be a long time before Nevada ever gets as bad as California, but the demographics are against us. High tech workers from Silicon Valley are now flooding into Washoe County, for example. There are other reasons to move to Nevada, more important (to me, anyway) than gun laws.

The red/blue dichotomy doesn't seem as cut and dried in Arizona. While the urban centers are turning the state blue, gun rights are regarded very differently there compared to most other west coast states. I think Arizona will be pretty safe for much longer than Nevada, though maybe not for as long as, say, Utah.

I'm heading there this August. Not a moment too soon the way things are around here.

People don't move based on gun laws alone.

Gun laws in other states are a perk, but it's taxes and regulations that are driving successful people out of California.

Exactly, its actually at the end of my list of moving. But dont see why one cant enjoy the perks.

Also why I chose oregon rather than AZ or texas.

It drives me nuts how most of the leftists I know are talking about bailing from Kali over crime, taxes, and regs. Yet they vote 100% dem and won't look in the mirror.

They're all considering the same states I am.

That's exactly what they do though, they spread their BS mess up the state they live in until it becomes Chicago then they move.
Once in the new state they start over doing the same thing in the new state. Austin comes to mind.
