Samson / Amazon Complaint

I think you should be damned glad they accepted your story of your HG missing a part. Shows a lot of goodwill on thier part, as for all they (and we) know you jacked it up trying to install it and were conning them for another.
I also think it is worth mentioning that when a reasonable sized company ships something it can "go out" one day- meaning the shipping dept pulls and packages the item- but it does not actually get picked up until the following day. Its a fairly normal thing.
Sorry your feels are hurt, but... mehFear is the spare change that will keep you broke

In reality you bought from Opticsplanet not Amazon. They are one of the worst companies out there for stuff- they CONSTANTLY advertise as something being in stock but it never is. It's no wonder the parts you ordered weren't complete.
Full disclosure- I have ordered from Opticsplanet before a couple of times and have never had a problem. It is better to call them however once you place your order to verify that what you ordered is ACTUALLY in stock.WTB: Sig P245 or P220 Compact

So you received a product that was missing a part, contacted the manufacturer and they sent out the missing part. What's the problem?

Big difference between a shipping delay and a delay to ship, but a valid point nonetheless. I'm not saying the company should be blasted or boycotted. And one business day is nothing that requires "sympathy".There is a problem, they acknowledge it, they ship a replacement/missing part on their dime, they do it virtually immediately and you call that "terrible service?"
Sure it's a teachable moment for the company to train their CSRs to be more accurate and pay attention to details, but getting upset about ONE DAY and calling it a "terrible service" is a bit much.
Here is an example. "I won't use FedEx or UPS ever, ever, ever again. They had on their website that the package would arrive on Friday, but it got rescheduled for Monday and I had to wait two extra days in anxious anticipation. Terrible service." Makes sense?
But as a business owner, I'm sensitive to the little things. When someone tells me they're going to do something, I expect it to be done - without my reminding them.iTrader: 52 transactions, 100% positive.Comment

Maybe the squeaky wheel got the oil - you recalling on Monday. For all we know you recalling did the trick since it was left with some customer service rep on Friday and it might not have been transferred to those working on Monday.
However, if they were going to be one day late they either could have emailed you to let you know or phoned and left a message stating this fact especially since it was their original mess up. Since that never happened I'd lean towards you were correct in recalling and making sure they followed through on their word.Comment

"Shipping" starts at the company, before it's transferred to the public carrier. We don't even know it was a "delay to ship," only that the *tracking number e-mail* was sent on Tuesday. The package could have been ready on Monday and in the system (just not at the carrier). It could have been picked up on Monday, but too late. Etc.
It makes about as much sense to try to dig into where exactly was the package on Monday 2359 hours as it does to complain about an extra day.sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

Plus the vendor could have been two or three hours ahead of Pacific Time. That's a big factor too."Shipping" starts at the company, before it's transferred to the public carrier. I've certainly been called that more than once - I've even seen Kes get called that. I haven't seen Red-O get called that yet, which is very suspicious to me, and means he's probably a DOJ shill.Comment

Okay so story continues...
The thermal bushing from Samson came monday! Hooray! BUT!......wait for it..
It will not fit with the rail, closer inspection of the rail and thermal bushing appears the Rail is not a perfect Circle, somehow the rail is warped and its more Elliptical than a circle.
So long story short, I was able to install the rail using only ONE of the thermal bushings, the rail seems to be pretty snug. I will continue to test the rifle and see if Zero shifts or anything happens..
Overall I figured this would be a very easy weapon upgrade, it became a nightmare than turned into a bigger disaster! I am skeptical about Samson MFG now...just my 2 cents..Comment

Sounds like responses are made by people who like premium guns and parts, but would settle for ****ty QA.
This frikkin world is so used to software patches and fixes, theyve forgotten how it is to get things right the first time around. If Samson got a second chance, there should be even more effort put into it.Comment
