    "Assault Rifles" at the Range

Question for those in the know...

Whenever I go to the range with my ridiculous California compliant AR, I see most of the other lanes have non-compliant rifles being fired. What's the deal? There's no way they're all LEOs, so how is it that these guys feel so comfortable sporting their felonies in public? Is there no risk once at the range, or is there something I'm missing?

    Thanks in advance.

There is still risk at the range. Either they are:
    1- Registered AW's
    2-LEO's
3-Dont care or don't know about the laws.

      some people aren't informed, (most)
some people are willing to take the risk,
some people haven't been soaking up the FUD on the forums,
some people live in friendlier counties whose LEOs don't care as much.

You can't really conclude that an Assault Weapon is non-compliant based on its appearance.

Remember that "Registered" Assault Weapons can have all of the "Evil Features" listed in PC 30515 and remain completely legal. For the next seven weeks, it's also completely legal to use large-capacity magazines in Registered Assault Weapons.

And most cops don't have a clue about any of this. Just ask one

"...comfortable sporting their felonies"... I thought it took a courtroom and a trial to become a felon...

Where is the range you're referring to?

I was at bullseye the other day asking the same thing and they said until the gun bills come out you can shoot your non compliant at the range.

Yes you are. The mindset of FREEDOM. The first being that unrestricted firearm ownership is a recognized right in America. Anything law against that is nothing but an afterthought of, what I view as, our enemies. Communist, socialist and totalitarianism.
So really it does not matter if its an LEO or non LEO with California version of an "assault weapon." the fact that you need to classify shows where your head is. Mind your business.

                              LOL.

I had one of my rifles at a public range not long ago. This one has a Thordsen stock on it. It drew some interest from other shooters. They were curious about it. Some said it was the ugliest thing they had ever seen, but they all wanted to try it.
