Before the deal was 100% done just before the NRA show . SA/RRA were told about the rumor back in January n they did nothing. How is it other people knew n told them what Keller was up to and they didn't look in to it. Still don't buy what they are selling.

When I say "You", it's not to single you out KrisDSA. Only that you quoted my post. This is a general 'you', not a "you".

So, because you (not you Kris) don't have all of the facts (since you obviously weren't there. And if you were there, you didn't do enough to stop it), SA & RRA = Obama/Clinton/Feinstein/DeLeon?

You automatically jump to a conclusion that SA & RRA are in cahoots with Gun Control evil incarnate? There is automatically some sort of collusion with the devil? There just HAS TO BE some backroom dealing going on. There MUST be some sort of suspicious meeting on the tarmac in a private jet type of wheeling and dealing going on. Or, does that line of thinking just make you feel smarter since only YOU can see the mysterious tin foil truth that must be out there? Please...give me a break.

Just look at the *DECADES* of pro-gun action SA has taken. Consider their history as a whole and tell me which part of it doesn't equate. If SA truly wanted gun control, you would see it on a national level.

Consider what SA does to keep SA products coming into gun unfriendly states like CA. They've kept the original SA line going in spite of having newer generations of XD models. Same with their 1911 models. All to accommodate the California roster. They sponsor the winning-est competition shooter on the planet (Rob Leatham) and matches all over the US.

What could SA possibly gain by putting the gun shops out of business that sell their product? If SA truly wanted gun control, don't you think they'd be a heck of a lot smarter that this? I mean seriously.

Anyways, that really is all I've got to say about that. Like I said we're hunting for another XD for the wife. All of the drama everyone else has dreamed up hasn't cooled my love of SA.

Fact is SA/RRA knew about the deal back in January and did nothing. Even SA PR Person, Stefani Reese ( Dennis Reese Daughter) said it in her phone call. This isn't the first time Dennis Reese lied/cheated to get this way. What would they gain ? Did you not read the bill ?

Amazing what a million dollar over produced video movie will do to cement people's approval. If they took the money to make this scripted, Hollywood movie of the week and spent it on pro-2A I would have been much more impressed.

The "movie" dosen't do anything but tell Reese's lame "I am a small business man drenched in cosmoline" sob story. What a total mis-characterization of the CEO of one of the largest American gun companies. Crocodile tears mean nothing.

Notice how there is no explanation other than good ol' Reese was up to his elbows in cosmoline and helping employ American workers and had no time to check in on his head lobbyist that he had funded with big money. Or how he had given to anti-gun legislators. He just plain didn't know what was going on, what with the cosmoline seeping into his brain.

Please. More like he either was playing golf or on a yacht and didn't know a damn thing because of gross negligence, or he knew and was convinced by Keller to not give a damn. Either way, he seems to be apologizing for nothing since Keller was a rogue maverick who was beyond control.

This is the kind of tripe that powerful people do (paying money to PR firms to save his ***) instead of just sitting down and explaining the REALITY of what happened and then apologizing for it.

They are doing some extra 2A work as a kind of community service, but I do not trust these people as far as I can throw them. I predicted the entrance of a big money PR move, and here it is, complete with fanboi's saluting to the propaganda.

If they continue to pull ads in favor of anti-1657 stuff, then ok. Do their community service and move on.

It's nice that he owned up to the massive screw up, but how far and how hard is he willing to push back against Illinois?

If you remember, Magpul moved its headquarters and its tax dollars out of the state of CO because of the magazine ban. SA generates a lot of tax revenue for Illinois. Would he be willing to move SA out of Illinois? How would this effect his workers or his local community?

Says SAI is the 8th largest manufacturer in the US. How ironic would it be if gun owners did the work of Antis by taking down one of the largest manufacturers in the US?

Why apologize for crooked, heinous anti-2A behavior by a giant gun company? I don't think anyone wants the company to go out of business, they want accountability. They are going to loose tons of business and, according to the free market, will have that business taken up by other companies, preferably those that make all their products in the USA and are not doing crooked and strange stuff. Other people make 1911's and semi auto 308 rifles too.

I just can't fathom how it's cool to let them off the hook. You don't think big gun companies would love to get away with anything? You think they care about 2A like we do? I think they are a company that cares about making money, bottom line.
