    Oh and waaaaaaaaay cheaper.
A few months ago during lunch, I walked in, walked out with a 1911, went back to the office and handed it over to my warehouse manager, telling him "You're doing a great job."

All in less than 45 minutes.

Fun Nevada fact: while the general homicide rate here is greater than California's, the rate of homicides committed with firearms is lower.

When I enter a gun shop I have to force myself to just get the cleaning supplies I need and not go anywhere near the consignment area. I need groceries for the family

Yes the poor, poor precious snowflakes get sooooo upset when they hear about the cool things that can be had in free America. Add the fact there is such a thing as cash and carry and their head starts spinning like Linda Blair in the Exorcist.

But just to twist the knife a little bit more, I picked up this M1 Carbine for $400 last week with two 15 round GI magazines. I bought it in the parking lot at Home Depot:

I lived in CA for many years but moved to Texas a while back. The last gun I bought was a lever action Marlin 1894CS chambered in .357 mag/.38 spcl. I bought it from a person in the midwest (on line) who sent it, via USPS Priority Mail, to my local TX FFL. I picked it up from the FFL the day they received it. Transfer fee (to cover the 4473) was $15 because I have a Concealed Handgun License. Even with mailing a USPS MO to the seller and him mailing the rifle to the FFL after receiving it, the whole process took much less than the 10 days mandated by the DOJ in the PRK. This isn't the first transaction like this that I've done since moving to a free state. I've also bought firearms from local dealers. Most have computer terminals to fill out the 4473 so you're in-and-out time is pretty much a function of how fast you can type and how efficient the clerk is in checking it for errors and taking your money. Oh, and if you want to sell a gun to a friend, it's equally painless. Sold a 9mm pistol to a buddy. Took it his house, gave him the gun, he gave me the money - we're done - enjoy a cold beverage together.

Somewhat different than in California in that men respect women, and the respect is returned.
As a someone who lives in the DFW area, I have to say this is an accurate observation.
