Good points, mif slim. And i agree he made the right call (zen, instinct) to go one-handed because of that gate and need to stay low. Just wanted to make the point that two hands is better in general, even around corners. (But yes, we have to be prepared to shift between tools within a second and that requires breadth of training. Another good thing is the guard wasnt dressed in "uniform". Must of made the thug think he was another employee there. Where the guard was at was the perfect concealment of his weapon. Good job on his part. Good the bg is gone...its too bad he was just turning his life around, it was going to be his last act.

It's called executive protection. You are to blend in the crowd. Pays decent. They usually only hire ex cops or military for these gigs.

Anytime someone does something well there is always the person in the peanut gallery who has to throw in a negative comment...'50% hit ratio, reference to a malfunction having to cycle the slide or whatever'.

When the GGs stand up for doing the right thing then I can do my part by telling the peanut galley dudes to cool it. This is an example why LEOs and the real Special Forces Units don't like to associate with the non initiated on the range.

This is really a big issue with the recent veterans. Some non-participant flys-off at the mouth and the vet is too young and really doesn't know how to verbally defend himself and the anger builds internally.

On a more subtle example:
I was at a shooting event some time back and surprised to see a couple Marine Pistol Shooting Team members present. They showed-up on their own dime. Yeah, back in the day when you would walk around town and see signs on the grass saying, 'Dogs and Marines stay off the lawn.' Well, at the awards dinner the presenter cracks some joke about the Marines on how they missed something or other. Big mistake.

Some men take their shooting seriously. And in this situation there was some serious shooting happening. When at the Adult Beverage Off Site Debriefing Area and some yahoo says something about 50% hit ratio the participates will explain the situation less gently. Guarantee.

Holy hell, that happened FAST. Ok, so 50% hit ratio, and limp wrist causing a malfunction. Took out the bad guy while crouching behind the counter, one handed. Cleared a jam while under fire and stayed in the fight, managed to take out the bad guy without getting killed, or hitting anybody else.
looks like a job well done to me.

The guard was aggressive and moved towards the BG, subdued him with superior firepower and forced him into the open in order to finish him off. The BG had never encountered someone like this before and of course never will again in this world.

Guard went from 0, to deadly close range gun battle in 1 second.

BG taking a dirt nap. All LACs in the building go home safe.
