Good news since I am stocking up before 2018 ammo regs kick in.

You and me both. I just picked up another 15k for 4.5cpr. By far the best prices in years.

I think a lot of shops are going to close. The ammo sales law might be the only savior for the shops.

I have noticed new gun prices seem to be going steadily lower over the past few months. I know gun sales have slowed since Hillary lost the election, and I am starting to think prices may continue to drop based on supply and demand. I am seeing new handguns at the best prices I have seen in years. New Springfield XD9 for $379, Springfield 1911 in 9mm for under a grand...etc. I also think it's funny that people are still buying used in the marketplace when the same gun new is cheaper lol.

Do you expect a continued drop in prices?

I was shopping for that SA 1911 yesterday and although many online dealers had it priced under $1000, all were "out of stock'.
Also many of them do not ship to CA.. ironically even if it is a CA suffix model.
So in our state, some models will not be affected so much.

So they dropped a few bucks. Nothing to write home about. Expect stagnating market until next elections. CA market has it's own variables because of the roster so it doesn't follow the rest of US market. Shop in Pacifica and Sacramento, the ones I visited, had the same pricing since before the elections. Salespeople were just playing with their iphones and were not interested in customers.

My guess is everyone prepped for Clinton and then bam. Cheap prices lots of inventory.

Absolutely, coupled with a public that stocked up, also anticipating HRC win that the lefty media told us was basically a "slam dunk."
