Gun prices dropping?

I have noticed new gun prices seem to be going steadily lower over the past few months. I know gun sales have slowed since Hillary lost the election, and I am starting to think prices may continue to drop based on supply and demand. I am seeing new handguns at the best prices I have seen in years. New Springfield XD9 for $379, Springfield 1911 in 9mm for under a grand...etc. I also think it's funny that people are still buying used in the marketplace when the same gun new is cheaper lol.

Do you expect a continued drop in prices?

Only gonna drop so much. If a gun start really slipping, after a point it will be because they are cheapening out somewhere in that gun, whether in QC, materials, or a combination

In free America yes. In CA it depends if the model is legal to buy new.

I haven't noticed prices dropping below pre-panic levels just yet. Gen 3 Glocks are $499, nothing special, J Frame Airweights $420, GP100s $620. Great prices and even better availability but nothing staggering yet.

If People REFUSE to pay the high prices, vendors have to rethink their pricing.

Buying new guns from a dealer is usually less expensive than buying used from the Calguns marketplace. You might save about $50 used over new, but then you also have the assurance of the history of the gun because you bought it new instead of what someone "says" is it's history.

There are definitely some good deals used, but from what I have seen lately, buying new is the best. Off roster guns are priced ridiculous. There are great quality guns you can buy new for less than 2x inflated prices people are selling their off-roster guns for.

Gun prices aren't going to change very much. The main changes in pricing are what people charge for guns that regular people in California can't buy new. If you want the off roster guns, then the inflated prices might be worth it. Otherwise, there are many new guns available for a much more reasonable price.
