Not illegally. The store is closed on weekends and they function only as a gun range.

hmm, I didn't know that, I know Gunther's in Carlsbad isn't too far and they are great for PPT. I know there are a few other FFL's in the area, Vista has Empowered and they are pretty good; Escondido has a few too.

They do not do them on weekends. I learned the hard way after a 40 minute drive

Around here Gunther Guns is your best bet.
Iron sights will likely **** it up and certainly complain.
Turner's is all day long slow, and Empowered, which would be your best option, is closed Sun and Mon.

Never been to Gunther's, but I'll recommend them over IronSights. I did a PPT at IronSights once and they broke the stock on my shotgun. Didn't compensate me in any way, just gave me a snotty attitude. Posted a thread about it sometime back, probably in the archives somewhere.

LOL, they ****ed up my interstate gift from my mom. She brought a pistol for me from OR, and we took it there to do the transfer. The short girl there said we could do it on the web (you can if it is a in-state resident to in-state resident vertical lineage gift but not out-of-state resident to in-state resident, which needs to go through a FFL and DROS).
Stupidly, I thought, "hey, she works at a range, she must know better than what I just read and what lead me to your shop."

I am an idiot.

By the time I got home and figured out my initial understanding of what I read was right (right when I got to the part on the internet form that said "for in-state transfers only" LOL).
It was right about then I realized that she f'd me - without dinner and movie, no less. Made me feel like a tramp - that dirty dirty girl ...

Conveniently, my mom was not in a position to do the transfer. Cost me a year without my little 938.

Moral of the story.

Don't trust desk help and do your own research.
There is a reason they are desk help, and it isn't from doing research.

Another vote for Gunther guns. Went on the weekend by appointment to do a ppt a few months ago. Friendly staff.

Gunfighter Tactical is also open Sunday. A bit further south in Miramar.

I believe they are open 7 days a week now, just for a short few hours on Sunday
