    Cross Armory Fixed Mag

Their Facebook page has some videos, but they seem to have a good answer to the new rules.

    I bet it's expensive. Didn't look for a price.

Cross Armory creates precision aftermarket upgrades for handguns & rifles. Boost performance with innovative, state-compliant firearm parts
There are no great men. Just great challenges which ordinary men, out of necessity, are forced by circumstance to meet.

    200 for the kit.
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

The only problem is the entire mag catch can still be removed with a tool thereby making the magazine removable without disassembly of the action. I like the design, it is very innovative but needs a little tweaking to be compliant.

Tagged. That's pretty cool, I agree the mag release part probably isn't compliant as-is, but with some tweaking it might be. The coolest part is the rear takedown pin. In fact, it's so cool that I'm thinking it might even be good to have on a RAW or featureless, just because. As long as it holds to upper down tight without any wiggle.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you follow the video installation instructions and lock tite all screws wouldn't this be just as "permanent" as any other bullet button and meet all requirements of the law? I really think this is an improvement and want to get the "system" but not if it doesn't meet the law. Oh, yeah and it is a bit expensive. 😜 I guess I can understand why they are a small startup company.

Did I see what I thought I saw... rifle hinged open, then closed, then mag removed?
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Yes, but it's under the impression that this mag lock had been "tuned" to not drop mags. Just tight enough to release the mag and manually take it from the magwell.... does that make sense? It works as advertised, you can just "tune" it to release, just not drop free

No. Illegal actions to break the law, dont negate the actions to comply with the law.

A barrel can be cut to under 16"
A Fin on a grip can be cut off to allow a pistol style grasp.
A tool can be permanently attacked to a BB device (pre-2017 law)

If the law clearly addressed constructive possession and ultimate permanency ( which doesnt exist), you would be right.

The normal operation of the device is designed to comply with the law. You actions to violate the law do not negate that.

The funny thing about this device, if it turns out it's compliant (and I'm not saying it is), is that it's an even faster and easier way to change magazines than with a bullet button.

Even more ironic, this device would not have been compliant before this year, because it doesn't require a tool But now we aren't required to use a tool

Assuming this device passes the legal sniff test, our fearless leaders will have unknowingly legalized a better way to change magazines than what we had to do before. That's a pretty big slap in the face to the idiots that wrote this law.

I was just saying to my shooting buddies yesterday that this looked faster than BB mag changes.

So expect the legislation to require permanently fixed magazines (epoxy or rivets) for semi auto's.

Ha! Love it! Euphoria do you have this setup, have you seen it in person or are you the manufacturer? Just curious to talk to someone who has it in the real world.

The only way all this BULL_HIT is going to end is when SCOTUS gets off it arse and rules on the 2nd.

I just installed the Cross Armory Safe Mag and Quick Pins on my AR. I have to say it's the best solutions so far, it's so much quicker and better than all other devices, only the price is a little steep for the whole set ($69 for the Safe Mag and $129 for the Quick Pins), but you don't need both Safe Mag and Quick Pins for compliance, all you need is Safe Mag for compliance, and the Quick Pins is just more for convenience. I just love how quickly and easily to drop and reload mag with it, even better than fumbling with the bullet button

I got mine from Gun California for $188 for the whole set (Safe Mag + Quick Pins) with shipping included (insurance required but not included) http://www.guncalifornia.com/ca-comp...mag-combo.html
