There isn't 3.7 oz of metal in mine, S/N was just stamped in and filled with paint by Bushmaster. I've dropped it on the carpet a few times and it hasn't broke yet.

I also have a top loading %100 legal lower. Bottom of the magwell is sealed shut with a 10 rounder in it. Gonna possible turn it into an spr for longer range. Maybe.

Given the large caliber, you're doing it wrong if you need more than one round.

These uppers utilize a side mounted magazine up to 10 rounds. However, you have to do your best to imitate your grandfather and feed each round using the bolt.
