Guaranteed MOA or below barrels?

If somebody wanted to build a very accurate upper for an AR type rifle are there any companies that stand by/guarantee that their barrels will shoot MOA or sub (is it even possible)?
I always assumed a company like Noveske that charges upwards of
$600.00(+/-) would guarantee the accuracy but after 'some' research it seems to be a crapshoot.

I think i recall larue guaranteeing sub moa rifles, but the shooter will be the biggest variable in regards to an individuals personal experience with a product

Generally you don't get MOA guarantees on barrels since there are other factors that come into play such as installation.

Rock River Arms used to advertise many of their rifles as 0.5 MOA. I didn't really believe it until I used one of their barrels for my wife's rifle and she leaves nothing but one big hole in the middle of the target.

You can build a 1/2 MOA gun but are you a 1/2 MOA shooter? Most of the aftermarket barrel makers would work with you to get under 1 MOA. If you want to get under 1/2 MOA, you better know what you are doing and a barrel maker might still work with you. Now when you get down to 1/4 MOA most of us know it's the luck of the draw if you get that good of a barrel and if you want more than that you'll have to put in the work or try a different barrel.

That larue system is nice.. the handguard looks a bit outdated and really heavy IMO. too bad they do not allow you to purchase without the accessories. they advertise them being free but they must be factored into the price some way..

Get a high-end barrel from Bartlein, Krieger, Hawk Hill, etc. and it'll shoot just fine. It's the smith who chambers the barrel and installs it that really matters. Any of those barrels will outshoot a Noveske easily. Will cost you more, though.

I totally agree. Krieger is the way to go, and they will stand behind their product if it doesn't shoot.

OP, keep in mind that you may need to shoot something higher quality than PMC bronze (or other like products) if you're looking to get sub-MOA groups. I do not mean to be rude by that comment, but I thought I would throw it out there, because I've run into too many people that expect good accuracy with lower quality ammo. My experience has been this: junk barrels won't shoot anything sub-MOA, run of the mill production and lower-end custom barrels may be selective with the loads that will shoot sub-MOA, and top shelf barrels, like Krieger, will generally shoot a wider range of loads sub-MOA. YMMV.

I have a 24" Lilja in my 6.5 Creedmoor semiautomatic build.... It's a half to 3/4 MOA rifle without much effort, but I have shot a few 1/4 inch groups (not sure if me or the rifle or unicorns).

I do reload.
