DOJ website is down!!!!!!!!

I just stopped by the Turner's in Orange to see if they had any good ammo sales today. I rarely go there as I can't stand them. There is almost a panic atmosphere in the store as lots of people are trying to pick up their MSR. A clerk stated that the DOJ website is down temporarily due to heavy volume today. Gee what a shock!

The customers are panicking because they think they can't get their rifles. Why these dumb a***** decided to wait until now to pick up their guns is beyond my understanding. I bought four stripped lowers about three months ago knowing that there would be a panic rush at near ZERO hour. I left quickly as people were getting very agitated and I did not want to be around that!

No excuses. Everybody had ample warning. If they weren't paying attention, oops. I was 99% sure the DOJ system wouldn't be able to handle the traffic today.

Agreed. That's why these fools should not have waited until the last day. One of the clerks said out loud that if anyone was there to pick up or purchase a gun that was not an MSR that they would appreciate it if they could come back another day to buy it or pick it up as they are trying to focus on getting all the MSR transactions completed today. No s***!

I thought the same thing but the tension at that place was really intense. My antenna were up big time and that little voice inside me said GTFO now so I left as I did not want to be around if all H*** breaks loose!

We all knew this was coming six months ago. I don't feel bad for them at all. They should not have waited until literally ten hours before they become illegal to purchase to do this. Stupid is as stupid does!

Thankfully my finances allowed me to purchase long before the panic and deadline.

Makes me wonder if the DOJ is purposely "crashing their website" to prevent more "assault weapons" transactions from being completed?
