Tip him. You really want to risk irritating someone who knows where your safe is?

(Or if it's a 600lb safe, just take the door off and move it with a buddy)

It's your money, do with it as you wish.

I work hard for mine and figure thats what they are getting paid for when they show up.

That being said I refuse tips IF offered....again, just part of the job.

If they press the issue, I ask that they donate to someone that is truly in need.

I don't think tipping a thief would convince them not to burglarize your home.

On another note, I think I remember a porn clip that featured a safe installer and a lonely daughter at home, or something....

Well it sure couldn't hurt vs not tipping. Or at least that's what I tell myself lol

Service above and beyond what was promised or expected deserves recognition in my opinion. I gladly tipped my safe movers $40 each after they struggled for 4+ hours to move my safe from my old home into my new house. They were professional, polite, and worked hard so I saw no reason not to reward them for a job well done.

The photobooth guy makes to much money, never tip him. And can you imagine the tip FP would give you for putting that heavy safe into the basement... shudder

You are asking if you should tip, which suggests that you already think it might be appropriate. So go ahead and tip. If the guys do a good clean job, $20 to $25 each is reasonable, for just so so work, $10 each would be fine. And cash is the universal language and don't expect them to be able to make change.

OP, tip if you feel like it...
                      lol

the good life huh? hardly with things being so expensive.

tipping is optional. I personally hate tipping servers when they do the least amount of work in a restaurant.

I tip when an individual goes above/beyond the scope of their basic job requirements.

Well there is the one involving a shooting range. I actually found it through a CGN post. I did tip the guys that built my Tuff Shed. I hear ladies of the evening appreciate tips.

A cable guy once hinted to my 1/2 aunt he would give her extra features and channels for free if she provided him sexual favors. She just tipped him cash. I knew another cable/phone guy that was offered sex by an older Viet woman.

It ended up being a gigolo type arrangement but he said he would have continued to do it for free even though she would pay him as she wasn't too bad looking for her age.

Don't they share with the busboys? I have been known to tip very well when the server is friendly and busty

I have seen shooting ranges where there was a tip jar but it isn't common.

I ended up tipping the guys. $20 each for a one hour+ job, but they did a good job squeezing it through narrow hallways, up some steps and anchoring it really well.

The installation cost was almost a fourth of the cost of the safe, but I wouldn't want to pull a trailer up the mountain roads in my SUV on a snowy day. Plus my back is still thanking me.

                              Thanks for the replies, Calguns!
