    OK....now what??.....RAW sale issues

    Ok, I have a relative in a free State who wishes to buy a Reg. Assault
    Weapon from me.

    I heard that Second Amendment Sports in Bakersfield is a approved
    AW permit holder for transfers. However they only do that for LEOs!!

    So, how does one "sell" a RAW out of State if there are no AW dealers to
    do the transfer??

    Does anyone here know anyone how has a AW permit that will do a PPT?

    What a predicament.

      Dang that sucks you can't even sell it out of state without jumping through some hoops.

          Why sell a RAW? Seriously? I mean, is it REALLY that hard for him, in a free state, to buy a $200 lower from a regular FFL?

          Then again, I guess it's not THAT big of a deal. I mean you can always just go buy another one yourself.

              I wish it was that simple, the AW in question is made of Unobtainium.

                  Just remember that if you sell it, you will never be able to get another one, at least in the current CA climate.

                          I think his point might be that to out of state people it's made of it, as well.

                          Some people have enough RAWs that selling one could make sense.

                              Can you remove the features or drive it to a post office in NV?

                                  No reason to remove anything if it's reg'd to him. Drive it out of state (following all the law, rules, and regs) and ship it to his FFL for transfer. Be sure his FFL will accept from a private individual such as yourself. Most will with a copy of your drivers license included.
                                  When you get back home, file the paperwork to unregister the AW.

                                      If it's a Cat 3 AW (features), the features could be removed . . . making it a non-AW . . . and the OP could ship it normally.
