I wanted to use CRIS to transfer a couple lowers to my wife so she can register a couple RAW's next year for herself. But there's no spouse option under "Relationship." What should I do? The only options are:

Child to Parent
Grandchild to Grandparent
Grandparent to Grandchild
Parent to Child

Spouse to spouse technically is not intrafamilial. Poke around to see if you can find a place for "transmutation".

If none, use the paper version, or guess you will be able to register one gun to more than one family member at the same address.

Librarian, do you know offhand if I have to hand the BOF4544A in to the DOJ in person to beat the Dec 31 deadline? Or can I mail it in and the postmark date determines if it beat the deadline like the IRS?

If I have to deliver in person to beat the deadline, do you know where they're located? There's only a PO address on the instructions for mailing.

Any of you guy doing a Intra Familial Transfer to any of your kids before the 1st of the year? I'm guessing there wouldn't be many young people with legal AW next year.

I believe there is a 'date acquired' field. One is supposed to file within 30 days after the transfer, so that field is the date DOJ should use for ownership.

BTW, I found out first hand the BOF4544A must be submitted via mail. They have no provisions to accept them in person.
