That's what I plan on using the Hera Arms CQR Buttstock for, a long distance precision rifle.

This is a very viable option for individuals who own an AR in CA that don't want to register their firearm as an Assault Weapon.

Guess I am on outlier, looks heavy, and just makes your AR look like it's out of Rogue One, but whatever. I reserve judgement until I can shoulder a rifle with one. But it adds two pounds to your AR and looks like a plastic 2x4. I give them props for at least thinking outside the box. And I am in the minority, most Calgunners seem to think this thing is the bees knees.

I, for one, like it. It has a form factor that I haven't seen related to the AR15 platform.

Nothing wrong with innovation, especially when it provides a legal "circumnavigation".

If it is judged as too heavy, maybe enough sales and feedback will produce an improved 2.0 version.

LAN World confirmed on their fb that it's 0.9lbs; some people are listing shipping weight, hence the 2lb note

LOL on the weight issue. 99.99 percent of AR owners I know, including me pick up their gun put it on a bench, shoot, pick it up and put it in the rifle bag and go home. I'm sure if you're a "operator" and have to go door kicking and CQB-ing you're not going to get this.

My issue with this stock and the thordsen is the length. I run my stock compact due to my own personal body type and preferences. And sure, i like to run around and shoot. Its a good workout and its more challenging/fun than sitting at a bench. Even simply working your way around your rifle in the dark or while running is a skill that should be practiced

Anyone find any info on which size buffer tube this will fit? Or what the little apparent storage compartment on the bottom can hold?

Found this from a guy on reddit who just got his, it fits a mil spec tube:

The installation manual says mil spec buffer tube.
It comes with 1 15mm spacer
                        It feels solid
Butt end is a hard rubber, kind of like a magpul stock. Not plastic.

How easy is it to replace the thumbhole block? I'm in Vegas at least once a month.
