    Hera arms CQR featureless

Would anyone consider getting this p90/ar featureless style? I think its a pretty interesting idea that the thumb hole can be removed. They are taking pre-orders for $120. Also would the fore grip be considered an angled grip or vertical grip?

The second to last image is a product from a different company.

I'm planning on buying the Hera stock as soon as it's available.

The forward grip allows the thumb to be at the same level opposite the rest of the hand. Seems like a vertical forward pistol grip to me.

The foregrip meets CA's legal definition of a "forward pistol grip". [11 CCR 5469(c)]

If the thumbhole space behind the foregrip was filled in/blocked off, like what they do for the stock, then it would no longer be considered a "forward pistol grip" and would be treated as an angled grip.

          11 CCR 5469
The following definitions apply to terms used in the identification of assault weapons pursuant to Penal Code section 30515:
          (c) “Forward pistol grip” means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp forward of the trigger.
          (d) “Pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon” means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing.
          (e) “Thumbhole stock” means a stock with a hole that allows the thumb of the trigger hand to penetrate into or through the stock while firing.

I handled a rifle at OC Firearms that has the Hera stock on it (their demo unit). To me it felt too wierd. The only place I could put my thumb comfortably was up near the selector. If the grip was angled back just a bit more it would be better IMO (at lest for me)

Will the covered flap be removable for people that end up leaving this communist state?

the stock plus forward grip looks like a unique combo to run.

maybe i'll get one to run on a rimfire ar since i don't have to worry about AW laws with regards to thumb hole stocks and such.

It probably is heavy, it is definitely bulky.

The reason is so that it doesn't look like an FRS-15.

I don't get why everyone dislikes the FRS-15.....I think it looks neato.

As for the Hera Arms, I think I am going to run a free state version on a RAW

Can Thordsen just sell the grip? Or does it have to be part of the stock to be legal?

Functionally speaking its genius. Aesthetically speaking it leaves a lot to be desired and I think it would have been fairly easy to make it not look like the leftover sprue from a plastic model kit.

Me too. I think it will be funny to troll all the featureless guys at the range with it.
