    Compliance from another angle

I'm just curious what all your thoughts are on this.

As I understand it the new laws pertain to semi auto rifles. I'm curious if drilling a 9mm ish deep hole on the top of the receiver under the bolt catch and installing a small spring (like the disconnector spring from a FCG) and a plunger under the bolt catch to push the catch up, would this not make the rifle a single shot since I'd have to manually drop the bolt to chamber the next round?
Some of my receivers have an ambi bolt release built in making the process tolerable I guess I'd call it vs the alternative.

I'm not trying to cheat the law by any means only to work within the perimeters as stated by the DOJ.

It's just a though but I'd like to know your input.

    Thanks!

It's for all of us. It'd be a simple fix to a pain in the *** of a problem. One rifle is one thing I have more than 1 and less than... Well never mind. I just want to make Sacramento feel safe.

I mean, I'm not trying to sell receivers. I think our schedule would be a bit tight. But it's something that a $3 order from CTD or brownells and 2 min at the drill press could save me from $250 worth of **** I don't want to buy and or paperwork I don't want to fill out.

Let me rephrase that in case you're a big titty blonde (female). In which case yes! We need to get started on this right away! [emoji6]

I just filed the patent now BACK OFF.

Just kidding, but it sounds interesting.

That would be ****ty. This idea needs to be open source and something everyone can do.

Oy. I welcome any ideas, and this is unique - well done, good thinking, it's a start.

But from the description, I would rather go featureless.

Could you possibly rig it to the fcg/trigger and just have a double trigger pull? 1st pull bolt release, second pull fire, repeat.

Really? A botched receiver that may be unsafe/weakened by a 9mm hole in a crucial area, for giving up semi-auto capability? For a wonky method of cycling the gun by hand to drop the bolt from the release each time? Sounds like the attributes of a malfunctioning firearm, with a design that could contribute to plenty of FTE followed by FTF.

For the intermittent intrusion necessary for loading each round, just not worth keeping the silly doo-dads which contribute very little to how you will be using it anyway (including the pistol grip, about the only thing relevant that makes a mild bit of difference over a Monster-Man grip.).

Ugh; that people ever thought the FAB-10 was an answer still baffles me to this day.
