Ammo storage

If you have the space, find an old chest freezer on Craigslist. An upright works great, too. They're airtight, nondescript, can usually be locked, and will generally hold a lot of rounds.

A 20lb bag of white rice in a burlap bag works well to keep moisture under control. .

I got mine when Home Depot had a sale going on. Just keep checking.
Their holiday sale prices are still about $40 higher than I got mine for.

If your plamning on shooting it I wouldn't worry. If you're planning to store it long term the ammo cans would be a better option. I just keep my 9mm reloads in a 2gal bucket, in fact 2 and 5gal buckets would work fine for long term storage as well.

Buy some ammo cans. Check craigslist. You just missed the sale at bass pro. The 50cal cans were $10 internet sale. I use blue painters tape far a label. Learn to buy ammo by the case.

Quality ammo cans with rubber seals.

4 or 5 desiccant packs inside.

Should last 20 - 30 years.
